Our first camping trip of the season. Easter weekend 2019

Just set up, our Vango Airbeam Eclipse 600. Amazing tent. Now upgraded to a newer model.

All our inflatable sofas and recliners set up after just getting the carpet down.

A picture of Jay, Paula’s son. We were fortunate enough to have the older boys come along and sample our luxury camping.

Paula finishing her wine wrapped in her fleece blanket as the sun had gone down.

Ashton (my son) and Jay (Paula’s son) - I couldn’t quite work out whether they were enjoying it 😂

Me, enjoying a well earned break after setting up! This picture is famous - it appeared in the September issue of camping magazine!

Table all set for breakfast

Lucas on the Pugneys train. He really loved it!

Lucas, Levi and Paula just finishing dinner. It was around 30oC ☀️🔥 at this point, a very hot day.

Lucas trying his bed out!

Lucas watching a drone fly over the campsite, he waited inventively for a long time to see it again.

Total excitement of camping!

Levi finishing his cola, the sun was very strong ☀️

Levi relaxing on our new Vango inflatable sofa. Really making himself at home he was!

A McDonald’s treat for Lucas & Levi

Me and Lucas on the Pugneys train

Levi picking out and eating all the fruit first from his breakfast cereal.

Don’t laugh!!

Me hoovering the tent carpet before packing it away. This was a photo by the discreet photographer Paula!

THE CAMPSITE INSPECTORS

Our review of Hayfield House, Flockton

✅ Grass and pitch condition - Excellent

❌ Shower facilities - Poor

✅ Staff - Friendly

❌ Pitch lighting - Poor

✅ Fire pits allowed - Yes

✅ Electric Hook up - Yes

❌ Amenities on the site - No

✅ Wash up area - Yes

❌ Good walks nearby - No

✅ Peaceful location - Yes

Although this site only scored 6/10 it is a lovely little peaceful site in the West Yorkshire countryside. We use this site for quick weekend getaways. The hook up is cheap at £17 per night. It’s a lovely quiet relaxing site, the biggest disappointment is the showers, they are run down and in urgent need of upgrading - so much so that Paula refused to use them (and she normally uses all Campsite showers). So you ask - would we return, errr.... yes we would but for overnight stays only,

happy camping!

These are really great photos, its good to see the little ones enjoying camping. Its good for them and more and more adults should introduce kids to camping, they always seem to sleep better too. A really great photo blog!
